I am a fan of Holocaust-related literature. And I found this book to be very boring. It's very hard to get into and even with the knowledge that this was written in a very dangerous time/ non-normal situations, I felt as though I was just reading an everyday teenager's blog.

It took me three tries and six months to finish this book. I don't recommend it. If you want Holocaust-related books, forget this.

Anne frank's diary is considered very personal to me.her diary touched me on a very spiritual and personal level.I cried like a baby when i finished the book and i raraely do. I can honestly relate to her and to some if not all the changes and transformations that she goes through. The resentment she feels towards her parents and her imprisonment or solitude. Her need to become free and taste fresh air. Anne frank reminds me of myself when i was her age. She brings me back all the forgotten memories that i had once experienced but altogether forgot. If anna was yet alive she were to be my best friend. We have a lot in common, all except for the war experience.

i found this book to be powerfull with smaller workds. which is great if you have some tpye of learning disablity. i felt that there was some part just full of self pity, wanting us to feel soory for her and what happened to her. even after reading this book 4 times i always just break down and cry. this book is a different side to the stories like "Lisa’s War" by Carol Matas and "Hana's Suitcase" by Karen Levine

I thought that i would likeb this book a lot because it was about what really went on during the war to these people. It gives an account of the reality of what went on at the time and wasn't just made up. However, when i started reading it i found it very hard to get in to but i didn carry on reading it because my sister said the end was the best bit.. I did not start to find it interesting untill near the end , as my sister had done before me. I would tell anyone to read this book because it is a very shocking story and once you get into it, very sad and gripping.

The anne frank diary is a very good book. you get to read about what it was like back then and what happened and how people were treated. some of those people could have been our family. anne frank is a girl with a wonderful imaginetion of all these dreams she has. and it is also she tells how so many people had to live in this little space and keep quiet so no one would hear them. and everyone living in that small space for over a year were all very different from each other. all came from different backgrounds and all of them have different beliefs. they had to live on very little food and learn how to conserve it so it will last longer. they had very little money. they were only allowed to talk at nite. and them having to go to a concentration camp it is just like slaves. they got very little food, separated from there families, and died and got killed if you were weak. if you were strong enough they would keep you. but still.
